Tension between the two countries increased after Operation Sindoor

Two warships will join the Navy on 26 August
The Indian Navy’s two modern stealth frigate warship-udayagiri (F35) and Himgiri (F34) will be included in the Navy simultaneously on 26 August. This will be the first time that two major warships will be commissioned together with two major shipyards in the country. The program to include them will be held in Visakhapatnam.
Udayagiri is built by Mumbai’s Majgaon Dock Shipbuilders Limited (MDL) and was handed over to the Navy on 1 July. At the same time, Himgiri has been prepared by Kolkata’s Garden Reach Shipbuilders and Engineers (GRSE). Both warships are built under Project 17A (P17A).
