2. Rachin Ravindra- Won against Sri Lanka by taking 4 wickets
Rachin Ravindra has been New Zealand’s most effective all-rounder in this World Cup. He has scored 128 runs in 6 innings and scored one fifty. In bowling, he has taken 11 wickets in 8 matches and is the highest wicket taker for New Zealand in the tournament.
His best performance has been 4/27. In the do or die match against Sri Lanka, Rachin won the Player of the Match award by taking 4 wickets. He also scored 32 runs in this match. New Zealand won that match by 61 runs.

3. Mitchell Santner- Gave runs with lowest economy
New Zealand captain Mitchell Santner is among the most experienced players of the team. He was appointed captain of New Zealand’s limited overs (ODI/T20I) team in December 2024.
In this tournament, he has scored 77 runs in 7 matches and has also played the finishing role when needed. Against Sri Lanka, Santner along with Cole McConchie added 84 runs on 47 balls after 6 wickets fell for 84 runs. In this match, he played an innings of 47 runs on 26 balls.
Santner has proved economical in bowling. He bowled 24 overs in 6 innings and gave runs at an economy of only 6.33. He also has 2 wickets in his name. Santner’s decisions as captain have also been excellent.

4. Matt Henry- The most successful fast bowler of the team
Matt Henry has been New Zealand’s most successful fast bowler in this World Cup. He took 9 wickets in 8 matches and many times gave initial success to the team with the new ball. Henry had bowled out batsman Pathum Nissanka on the very first ball against Sri Lanka.
Henry’s specialty is his swing and accurate line-length. He can prove dangerous against India’s top order. His economy has been 7.59, which shows that he does not give too many runs. He has taken 2-2 wickets against Sri Lanka, South Africa and UAE.
Henry has 52 wickets in his name in 42 T20 International matches. He took 5 wickets for 42 runs against India in the Champions Trophy league match last year.
5. Tim Seifert- 274 runs, 3 fifties in the tournament
Tim Seifert is the second highest run scorer of this tournament for New Zealand. He scored 274 runs in 7 innings of this World Cup and also scored 3 half-centuries. His strike rate has been more than 161.
Seifert gave New Zealand a fast start in the semi-finals. Along with Finn Allen, he made an opening partnership of 117 runs against South Africa. Seifert had scored 58 runs in this match.
Apart from South Africa, Seifert has also scored fifties against UAE and Afghanistan in this tournament. His best score is 89 runs not out. He equaled Andre Russell’s record for the fastest century by scoring a century in 40 balls for St. Lucia Kings in the West Indies Caribbean Premier League in 2025.
He is the fourth highest run scorer for New Zealand in T20. Seifert has 2227 runs in his name in 89 matches. During this period, he has hit 16 fifties and his best score is 97 not out. Apart from Seifert, India will also have to be cautious of Glenn Phillips and Daryl Mitchell.
