Comedian and winner of The Great Indian Laughter Challenge Sunil Pal is in the news for his recent insult at an event. During a poetry programme, he was called on the stage and not only was he refused to give the mike, but the mike was also snatched from his hand.

After the video of this incident went viral on social media, Sunil Pal has now broken his silence and narrated the entire incident of that evening. Sunil said that I felt very confused and embarrassed at the event.

Sunil had come to the program on the invitation of a friend.

Sunil Pal told in an interview to News 18 that it was a program of Urdu and Arabic poetry. He was called there by a very close friend of his. Sunil was enjoying the atmosphere there and had no idea that he would be treated like this on stage. He said, I wanted to honor the poets present there and thank them for their good work.

Repeated request for mike on stage

It can be seen in the viral video that Sunil Pal was called on the stage and given a bouquet of flowers. When he asked for the mike to say a few words as a courtesy, the stage manager refused. Sunil said, I requested that person to give me the mike several times, but he did not give me a chance to speak. I was feeling very confused and embarrassed there.

Mike snatched from hand, audience was making video

The limit reached when the mike was snatched from Sunil’s hand and the organizers asked him to leave the stage. According to Sunil Pal, the spectators present there were making videos from their phones, which was the most uncomfortable moment for him. He said, everyone was looking at me, they thought I was being respected, but there I was insulted. After this I did not stay there any longer and left immediately.

Friend said- forget what happened

After leaving the event, Sunil called the friend who had invited him. When he asked the friend why he was not given the mic, the friend also did not have any concrete answer. The friend just said, forget it and move on.” Sunil said that he felt very wrong because he just wanted to appreciate the poets present there.

Won the Laughter Challenge in 2005

50 year old Sunil Pal is a resident of Maharashtra. He made his mark across the country by winning the first season of ‘The Great Indian Laughter Challenge’ in 2005. He has also worked in many Bollywood films. Sunil is known for his clean comedy and mimicry of film stars.
