Singer Amrit Maan’s song Feels has been released on 24 October. On this special occasion he talked to Dainik Bhaskar. During this, he shared his experience of working with big artists like Sanjay Dutt and Sunny Deol. He also expressed his wish that Punjabi music should be heard worldwide. Meanwhile, Amrit Maan has also talked about issues like hour-long phone calls with Sidhu Moosewala and promoting gun culture in Punjabi music.
Question- What would you like to say about your song Feels?
answer- The song Feels has been released. You all gave a lot of love to the song. It has been released on the official YouTube channel of T-Series. I write my own songs, the music is Percy’s, Yug’s video. Everyone liked the song very much. The song is going well.

The song has been released on Feels T-Series’ YouTube channel.
Question- T-Series, your song (Powerhouse) with Sanjay Dutt trended worldwide, how do you see this relationship?
answer- This is a once in a lifetime opportunity. Shooting with Sanjay Dutt ji, sharing the screen with him. This is like a dream coming true. Like his aura, like the person he is. The aura was always his, but after meeting him we found out that he is a very nice person. He is very serious about his work. He supported a lot. I want to thank him through your channel. T-Series showed confidence, they came up with such a big project.

Amrit Maan with Sanjay Dutt.
Question- Any memory of working with Sanjay Dutt that you would like to share?
answer- Earlier we were told, there were rumors that Sanjay Dutt does everything as per his own wish. But those rumors were wrong. I still remember that Sanju Baba, as people call him, came out of the vanity and we shot for the entire 8 hours. Then he did not go back to his vanity for 8-10 hours. He was sitting on the set, he was giving inputs. He was asking if you want to do another shot then do it. If you want to do a second take, do it. There was a problem with the camera, so do it.
Once there was a problem with the camera so one take had to be done 7-8 times, but he was so calm and relaxed. I cannot describe the feeling of the seven and eight hours I spent with him.
Question- You are grounded, desi, you made Punjab feel proud, how do you see this?
answer- Honestly, I never thought. I was doing engineering. I never once thought that I would become a singer and after that everyone would like me. Suddenly started writing songs. Everyone gave love. The good thing is that I am a Punjabi and I am representing Punjab. It is a matter of happiness that I am known in Canada, I am known in America. When I shoot there, white people and people from other communities ask whose song it is, what a good beat it is. When drums are played, he likes the beat. Diljit paaji also does shows worldwide.
It is a matter of great pride to represent Punjab. To some extent, we also became a part of that thing. None of this was possible without God. I am living my dream life.
Question: What is there in the soil of Punjab that the voice and writing is such that even those who do not know Punjabi like it? There are Punjabi songs in Hindi films too, what’s the point in this?
answer- The best thing is that Punjabi language is very easy to understand. From the very beginning, the music of Punjab, whether it is folk songs or any kind of Punjabi music, whatever kind of music it is, one starts tapping one’s feet after listening to it. Like MC Paaji’s song, Mundya to bachke rahi.
Punjabi music always ruled. The folk fragrance of Punjab is coming in fusion with hip-hop. Even today the generation is looking very good. Many Bollywood films have Punjabi songs. I am lucky that I became a Punjabi artist when Punjabi is ruling globally.
Question- Many foreigners also lip sync to Punjabi songs, how do you see the Punjabi music scene?
answer- All the barriers in the Punjabi music scene have been broken. Today Diljit Dosanjh sings. Earlier, Punjabi artists used to have a great desire to have a western artiste do a collab with them, but now every big western artiste dreams of doing a collab with Diljit.
So, how far did music reach through Punjabi songs, through Punjabi language? Not everyone knows Spanish, but Spanish songs have ruled Canada, North America, South America. Punjabi music has done the same. Everyone prays that just as Latin music gets recognized and heard all over the world, similarly Punjabi music should also become an adornment of the playlists of the entire world.
Question- You wrote for Diljit Dosanjh, also did a collaboration with him, when are you coming together again?
answer- Very quickly, in fact I keep talking to them. As soon as we get an intuition that this could be the song, you will see the collab again.
Question- You became the voice for Sunny Deol in the film Jaat, tell about that collaboration?
answer- Worked with Sunny Paaji, he is from Punjab. I used to think that I don’t know how it would feel to meet him, he should not be too intense, he should not be reserved, we hear a lot of rumors that he speaks very little, but in reality he is a very simple and lovely person. He himself called me to Hyderabad, where we prepared the song in a single day with South’s top music producer Thaman ji. Sunny Paaji had said, “Make the song as it comes from your heart, I just want that real feeling.” That’s what I did and the experience was great. I consider myself lucky that I got the opportunity to work with such legends with whom it was a dream to even get photographed and today I am working with them.
Question- Had you ever thought that the title track of Jatt would be such a hit, Sunny Paaji also made a video, had you ever thought that the song would be on everyone’s lips?
answer- I didn’t think this song would be such a hit, I thought it was just the title track of the film. But the amount of love people gave it was more than expected. The movie (Jatt) was also very good. God supported, everything went well.
Question- Your fans have an unfulfilled wish, your songs and films with Siddhu (Moosewala) Paaji, what would you like to say?
answer- I would say that Sidhu Moosewala was not an artist but an emotional one. There can be no one like him. My song with him is Bambiha Bole, which became one of the biggest songs in history. I will have this belief throughout my life that Amrit Maan’s song featuring Sidhu Moosewala will be on YouTube and Spotify for the rest of my life. I had never thought of sharing the screen with him, he would leave this world so soon. There was a lot to do. We had also planned many films. But unfortunately Sidhu is no more in this world. We also try to recreate any song with Sidhu’s vocals.
Question- What is your fondest memory with Sidhu ji?
answer- During the time of Covid, we used to talk on the phone for hours. It was not that they talked about any work or anything serious. We just talked about things here and there, about family, about life, about small things. That memory will remain forever. There was no trace of time. One day I disconnected the call and saw that we were on the phone for 1 hour and 40 minutes. The second memory is when we were on the shoot. At that time, shooting with the crowd was not allowed, so we used to shoot with Chunk.
Question- What would you like to say on fans and gun culture?
answer- I want to say that there should be some rule or some law. People question the song. We watch it on Netflix, OTT, there is so much in the movie that you cannot even sit alone and watch it. But all that happens aloud, no one speaks there, but when it comes to singing, people start saying it. Yes, there should not be too much violence. An artist should be versatile. I also wrote songs for my mother, I wrote for my father, I wrote for my brother, I wrote songs for Peg. I do everything which is the duty of an artist. All I would say is don’t hate, if you can’t say good, don’t say bad. It’s a small world, small time. There is only one life.
Question- You also have a lot of fans in Hindi, they want you to sing Hindi songs, do Hindi films, what will you tell them?
answer- 100% songs are definitely coming in Hindi films. But how can I sing Hindi myself? Will I be able to sing or not? Will you like it or not? Will definitely sing Hindi songs one day.
