Due to political instability, the crisis on Bangladesh’s textile industry may deepen. In such a situation, international buyers may turn to markets like India. Due to this, big textile export centers like Tirupur in the country may get big orders.
Tirupur Exporters Association President KM Subramanian says that this year 10% of Bangladesh’s exports can come to India. This can give the country’s textile industry an additional business of Rs 3500 crore every month.

Bangladesh is the second largest garment exporter in the world
After China, Bangladesh is the world’s second largest textile exporter. Bangladesh’s monthly apparel and textile export is Rs 30 thousand crore. At the same time, India is at number four with Rs 12,500 crore.
Bangladesh’s share in global textile exports to the European Union and the UK is more than 10%. Prabhu Damodaran, secretary of the Indian Texpreneurs Federation, an association of textile manufacturers, says that if business from Bangladesh comes here, then we have the capacity to handle orders worth Rs 3500 crore.
Indian companies may return from Bangladesh
The units set up by Indians in Bangladesh may also be shut down and businessmen may shift to India.
