In Bangladesh, Hindu shopkeeper Sharat Chakraborty Mani was murdered with a sharp weapon.
A Hindu shopkeeper was murdered with sharp weapons in Narsindi district of Bangladesh on Monday night. The deceased has been identified as 40-year-old Sharat Chakraborty Mani. According to local media, this is the sixth murder of a Hindu person in the last 18 days.
According to the report, Sharat Chakraborty was running his grocery shop in Charsindoor market of Mani Palash upazila. Meanwhile, unknown assailants who arrived suddenly attacked him with sharp weapons and fled from the spot.
Seriously injured Mani was being taken to the hospital, but he died on the way. The police is investigating the matter
According to local media, on December 19, Mani had written a post on Facebook expressing concern over the increasing violence in the country and described his area as a valley of death.

After reaching the hospital, doctors declared Sharat Chakraborty Mani dead.
Just yesterday another Hindu was shot dead
On January 5 itself, a Hindu man was shot dead in Jessore district. Rana Pratap Bairagi, an ice factory owner, was publicly murdered in Monirampur area.
He ran an ice factory in Kapalia Bazaar and was also the executive editor of the daily BD Khabar’ newspaper.
According to the report, three assailants riding a bike called him out of the factory, took him to an alley and shot him in the head from close range and fled. He died on the spot.
The miscreants fled from the spot after shooting. Police later recovered seven empty cartridges from the spot. Police have sent the body for postmortem. The reasons for the murder have not been revealed yet.

Hindu widow gang raped, tied to a tree and beaten
A 44-year-old Hindu widow woman was gang-raped in Bangladesh. After the rape, the accused tied her to a tree and beat her. This incident took place in Kaliganj area of Jhenaidah district of Bangladesh. Police have arrested one accused in this case and the search for the remaining accused is going on.
The victim woman lodged a complaint against 4 people at Kaliganj police station on Monday afternoon. The one accused, Hasan (45 years), who has been detained by the police, is a resident of a village in the same area.
It is alleged that during this time the woman’s hair was cut, she was beaten and a video of the entire incident was made on mobile.

According to police and local people, the woman had purchased a house and land in the village about two years ago. He had taken this land from the brother of accused Shaheen. Ever since he bought the land, Shaheen was continuously harassing him and demanding money from him.
Two male relatives of the woman had come to meet her on Saturday evening. At the same time Shaheen and Hasan forcibly entered the house. They locked the woman’s relatives in a room and took the woman to another room and raped her.
After this, the accused dragged the woman and her relatives out of the house, tied them to a tree and falsely accused them of obscene activities. The woman lives in the same village with her 10-year-old son. On Saturday night, local people saw the woman in critical condition and admitted her to the hospital.
