A member of the temple steering committee told Bhaskar that BSF was informed about the infiltration. The BSF team immediately reached the spot and clearly explained to the BGB soldiers that the temple is far from no man’s land, they should return. But, he did not agree.

Later BGB officers were called and on the same evening a Commandant level flag meeting was held at the border point of Sribhoomi. Again, strict instructions were given not to cross the border without prior notice. After this the BGB jawans returned.

Between 2-3 am on the intervening night of Friday-Saturday, miscreants set fire to Sri Sri Radha Krishna Temple and Sri Sri Mahabhagya Lakshmi Narayan Temple in Dhaka.

He alleged that miscreants used petrol or octane to set the temple on fire. Despite our appeal to the interim government of Bangladesh, the police are not taking any concrete steps to deal with these attacks.
