Bebe Mahinder Kaur’s lawyer Raghubir Singh Brahminwal informed that the court has completely rejected the application for ‘exemption from appearance’ filed by Kangana’s lawyer. The court has issued a clear order that if Kangana Ranaut does not appear in the court on January 15, an arrest warrant will be issued against her and her bail order will also be cancelled.

This dispute started during the farmers’ movement on the borders of Delhi. Mahinder Kaur, an elderly woman resident of Bahadurgarh Jandia village in Bathinda, had filed a defamation case against Kangana. It is alleged that Kangana, while sharing Mahinder Kaur’s photo on social media, had commented that “such women come to the protest with Rs 100 each.”
Kangana had recently approached the Supreme Court to get the case quashed, but the apex court rejected her petition, after which she will now have to appear in the trial court.
