The Anti-Gangter Task Force (AGTF) of the Punjab Police has arrested 2 miscreants in a joint operation with Nagaland Police, Central Agencies and Batala Police. Whose identified Harmanpreet Singh alias Harman and his cousin Gurpreet Singh aka, who lives in Batala

Both were arrested from Kohima, the capital of Nagaland. According to the information, both of them were wanted in the Jugraj Singh alias Jagga murder case in Cheema Khudi village of Batala on 9 September 2025. The police have obtained transit remand from the local court and the accused are now being brought to Punjab.
They were taking orders from gangsters sitting abroad
Initial investigation by the police has revealed that the conspiracy of this target killing was hatched by gangsters sitting abroad. In this, the names of Jaswinder Singh alias Manu Agawan, Mohammad Yasin Akhtar alias Zeeshan Akhtar and Gopi Navansehria have appeared.
The Punjab Police has said that a strict campaign is being carried out continuously to eliminate organized crime. Officials say that the conspiracy to spoil peace and harmony in Punjab at any cost will not be allowed to succeed.
