1. Gold became cheaper by 5,000 rupees and silver by 6,400 rupees in 3 days: Gold prices fell by ₹974 today, selling at ₹69,194 per 10 grams; one kg silver is worth ₹81800

After the reduction in the custom duty (import tax) on gold and silver in the budget, gold has become cheaper by Rs 5,000 and silver by Rs 6,400 in 3 days. The government has reduced the custom duty on gold and silver from 15% to 6% in the budget. This has led to this fall in prices.

Two days after the budget, i.e. on July 25, gold has fallen by Rs 974 to Rs 68,177. It fell by Rs 3,616 on July 23 and Rs 451 on July 24. Silver has fallen by Rs 3,061 today to Rs 81,801 per kg.

2. Adani Green’s profit increased by 95% in the first quarter: Revenue increased by 22% to ₹ 3,122 crore, stock rose by more than 7%

Adani Group company ‘Adani Green Energy’ has made a net profit of Rs 629 crore in the first quarter of the financial year 2024-25. It has increased by 94.7% on an annual basis. In the same quarter a year ago, the company had recorded a net profit of Rs 323 crore.

The company has earned revenue of Rs 3,122 crore in the April-June quarter. A year ago, i.e. in the first quarter of the financial year 2023-24, the company’s income was Rs 2,550 crore. It has increased by 22.43% on an annual basis.

3. Now you can open an account in Zerodha for free: The company removed the account opening fee; Demat accounts in India increased 5 times in 6 years

Investors can now open a demat account for free in trading and investment platform Zerodha. The company said on Wednesday that now no charges will be levied on investors living in India for opening a demat account.

The company said that the onboarding process for opening an account has now become completely digital, so the company has taken this decision. Earlier, there was no facility of e-signing through Aadhaar to open a demat account, due to which there was an offline process for opening a demat account. Therefore, the company used to charge for account opening.

4. Tech Mahindra profit rises 23%: Revenue falls 1.17% to ₹13,005 crore in April-June quarter

Tech Mahindra’s profit in the first quarter of FY 2024-25 has increased by 23% year-on-year (YoY) to ₹851 crore. In the same quarter a year ago (Q1FY24), the company had a profit of ₹692 crore.

Before the results, Tech Mahindra shares closed at Rs 1,540 with a gain of 0.44%. The stock has climbed 33.16% in the last one year. The company’s market cap is Rs 1.50 lakh crore. On July 25, the company has released the results for the first quarter (April-June) of the financial year 2024-25.

5. Maggi maker Nestle’s profit increased by 7%: Income increased by 3.33% to ₹4,813 crore in the April-June quarter, company’s stock fell by 2.50%

Maggi maker Nestle India’s profit in the first quarter of FY 2024-25 has increased by 7% year-on-year (YoY) to ₹746 crore. In the same quarter a year ago (Q1FY24), the company had a profit of ₹698 crore.

After the results, Nestle’s stock closed down by 2.50% at Rs 2,477. The stock has risen only 8.81% in the last one year. The company has released the results for the first quarter (April-June) of the financial year 2024-25.
