The specialty of Jolly LLB franchise has been that serious issues within the court walls were also introduced with light-hearted comedy. In the first film, Arshad Warsi won the heart as Jolly, in the second Akshay Kumar took over the reins. Now in the third part Jolly LLB 3, both Jolly are face to face and the story gets entangled on the war of farmers’ land.

What does the story say?

The story of Jolly LLB 3 is loosely based on the Bhatta-Parsaul peasant movement in Uttar Pradesh in 2011. In the film, it is given the background of Bikaner in Rajasthan, where the owner of the Imperial Group, Haribhai Khaitan (Gajraj Rao), wants to forcibly seize the land of the farmers and start a project called “Bikaner to Boston”.

Rajaram Solanki, the village folk poet, commits suicide in the sorrow of losing his land. After this, Khaitan spreads false stories of Rajaram and his daughter -in -law’s illicit relationships in the media so that there is no heat on the project.

Rajaram’s wife Janaki (Seema Vishwas) reaches Delhi in search of help and goes to advocate Jagdish Tyagi alias Jolly (Arshad Warsi). Jolly, who is back first, finally files a PIL. But in the court, he encounters another Jolly – Jagdish Mishra (Akshay Kumar), and his pleas dismissed the petition in the court of Justice Sundarlal Tripathi (Saurabh Shukla).

After this, Janaki directly meets Jagdish Mishra and recites her tragedy. It is here that Mishra’s heart changes and he decides to take the side of the farmers. The two stand together against a powerful businessman like Khaitan. The extreme of the film stores on the battle of this court.

Acting: Who left how much effect?

Arshad Warsi – He has accepted a very strong performance, understanding the depth of the character. Sadly payment and deep voice made the court scenes effective. Without showing, he won the audience’s mind, overshadowing Akshay.

Akshay Kumar – Colorned in comic scenes, but sometimes it seems more artificial. In serious moments, he could not enhance the expectation.

Gajraj Rao – Fantastic as clever businessman and villain. His performance gave the story edge.

Saurabh Shukla – As soon as before, acting is strong but nothing new.

Seema Vishwas – In lesser dialogues, he left a deep impression with facial expressions.

Amrita Rao and Huma Qureshi – limited appearance, effect did not happen.

Editing – 157 minutes of length looks heavy. If some scenes were removed, the film could have been more tightly.

Music and background music – songs are forgotten, but background music has a correct impact in court debate and emotional scenes.

Assistant characters could be given further depth.

Strong side

The pain of farmers’ pain and the pain of snatching the land touches the heart.

The acting of Arshad Warsi and Gajraj Rao is the strongest link.

Clear message – If the rights of Annadata are taken away, then the development of the country will be incomplete.

Jolly LLB 3 also has entertainment and message. Yes, the length and unnecessary comedy scenes make it weak, but the war of farmers, court struggle and Arshad Warsi’s strong acting makes the film worth watching.
