Indian Motion Picture Producers Association (IMPPA) has appealed to PM Narendra Modi to intervene in the matter of ban of the film Dhurandhar. The association has said that the ban imposed on this film in some Middle East countries is not right.
IMPPA said in its letter that the film has been banned in UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Oman, Kuwait and Bahrain. The association says that this decision is one-sided and it should be removed soon. For this, a demand has been made to talk to the government at diplomatic level.
The association also reported that Dhurandhar had received approval from the Central Board of Film Certification in India. The film was quite successful at the box office after its release. IMPPA says that bans in foreign countries affect freedom of expression. Also, this causes loss to Indian filmmakers working in the foreign market.

It has also been said in the letter that the countries where the film is banned are considered friendly countries of India. India has long had cultural and economic relations with these countries. Indian film producers regularly do business in these areas. In such a situation, the government has been requested to talk to the officials of the concerned countries on this issue.
Dhurandhar is directed by Aditya Dhar and stars Ranveer Singh in the lead role. This is a spy thriller film, which shows the story related to the Indian intelligence agency. At the same time, the film has been banned in 6 Gulf countries like UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait and Oman. The reason for this is said to be the story of the film, the angle related to Pakistan and some scenes.

Distributors estimate that there has been a loss of around Rs 90 crore in foreign countries due to the ban. Despite this the film performed well worldwide. The film has earned Rs 1253.83 crore worldwide. At the same time, the film has so far collected Rs 831.40 crore at the Indian box office.
The film was released on 5 December 2025. Apart from Ranveer Singh, this film stars Sara Arjun, Akshay Khanna, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal and R. Madhavan is also seen.
