Preity Zinta recently shared a video of the event from her official social media account. With this, he wrote, as soon as I reached the auditorium of the Indian Army’s South Western Command, I saw posters of army officers and soldiers everywhere, who won the Awards of Bravery. Some gave their lives for this country and some returned from the battlefield with marks of wounds. He was a husband, son, brother and father. They are part of our armed forces and they sacrificed their yesterday.

Preeti further writes, we will never know her. Many will never be able to hear them or think about them, they will not be able to remember. Perhaps we will mention him in the conversation, praise his valor and then return to his life. This sad truth seems to be loud when I reach the event and try to laugh in my face. In this event, I met women who remember these men every day and every moment. I met his children and I saw his smile. There was no complaint and there were no tears. There was just pride, strength and sacrifice.
