Raman Rai Handa, father of actress Priyanka Chopra’s cousin Manara Chopra, died on Monday.
Actress Manara Chopra’s father Raman Rai Handa died on 16 June. Manara shared this news on Instagram late Monday evening. In the Instagram post, Manara wrote, “With deep sorrow and heavy heart we inform that our beloved father left us on 16/06/2025. He was the strength of our family.”
According to Zoom’s report, Manara’s father Raman was ill for some time. A source associated with the Handa family told Zoom that Raman was unwell for the last few days. He was in Mumbai with family.
Actress Manara Chopra shared the post on Instagram and informed about her father’s death.
Raman’s funeral will be held in Mumbai on 18 June In the post shared by Manara Chopra, it was written that Raman’s last rites will be performed on 18 June at the crematorium land in Andheri West, Amboli, Mumbai. Raman Rai was a lawyer in Teej Hazari Court of Delhi High Court. He was born in New Delhi. His wife Kamini Chopra Handa is a jewelery designer.
Manara’s father Raman Rai Handa used to see Priyanka Chopra’s uncle.
Mannara also has a younger sister named Mithali Handa. Mithali is a fashion stylist and entrepreneur. Raman has a wife and both daughters in her family.
Priyanka Chopra’s cousin is Manara Chopra Manara Chopra, Priyanka Chopra, Parineeti Chopra and Meera Chopra are cousins. According to a report by Navbharat Times, Manara was born as Barbie Handa, later he changed his name to Manara Chopra on the advice of his cousin Priyanka.
