Actress and Rajya Sabha MP Jaya Bachchan recently said that her real relationship is with the media, but not with the paparazzi.

In the interview given to Barkha Dutt, when Jaya Bachchan was asked the question, “What is your real relationship with newspaper or media?” To which Jaya Bachchan replied, “My relationship with the media is very good. It is true that I myself am a product of the media, but I have no relationship with the paparazzi, it is zero. Who are these people? Do they represent the people of this country? You call them media?”

Jaya Bachchan further said, “I myself am from the media. My father was a journalist. I have a lot of respect for real journalists, but those who roam outside with cameras, wearing dirty tight clothes, holding mobile phones in their hands and taking pictures of anyone, they are not media. They think that because they have mobile phones, they can say anything. Who are these people? What is their education, what is their background?”

During the interview, Jaya Bachchan also gave her opinion regarding social media. The actress said that I am not on any social network. Once my staff said “Madam, I don’t look at anything on any social network site because you are the most hated person on social networks.” On which Jaya Bachchan told the staff that it does not matter to me.

Jaya Bachchan further said that whoever hates me, that is his opinion, but my opinion is that I dislike them, because they enter someone’s house like rats with mobile cameras.

When Jaya Bachchan was asked that many actors themselves call the paparazzi at the airport and pose, she said, “I don’t know them. Nowadays, the actors are young, of my grandson’s age. My grandson is also acting, but he is not on any social network. Everyone teases him that someday he will have to come on the social network, but he says ‘we will see.'”

Jaya also said, “If you have to call the camera yourself to get your photo taken, then what kind of celebrity are you?”
