Paris, known as the ‘City of Lights’, gave a memorable farewell to the Olympic Games on Sunday night. The closing ceremony began with French swimmer Leon Marchand extinguishing the Olympic flame. Finally, Hollywood star Tom Cruise jumped from an airplane with the Olympic flag. He thrilled the audience with his amazing stunts.

Here at the Stade de France stadium, in the 3 hour long ceremony, 5 Grammy Award winning singer Gabriela Sarmiento Wilson (Her), Billie Eilish and Belgian pop singer Angele Van Wyk kept the fans captivated till the end. Meanwhile, Golden Voyager, Phoenix and Kavinsky bands performed in the stadium.

Los Angeles was given the responsibility of hosting the 2028 Olympics amid the music of bands like Red Hot Chili Peppers. Then famous rapper Snoop Dogg made the fans dance. The Stade de France was lit up with colorful lights during the ceremony, where more than 78,000 people witnessed a spectacular show of fireworks, art, dance and music. During the ceremony, shooter Manu Bhaker and experienced goalkeeper PR Sreejesh held the tricolor.

Golden Voyager shows a glimpse of the future
The Golden Voyager Band showed glimpses of the future. The band also showed glimpses of the Olympics past. The Golden Voyager descended from the sky and searched for the Olympics at the Stade de France, as a theater had been built there in the future. This search showed the opening of the 1896 Athens Olympic Games.

Four-time Olympic gold medalist Michael Johnson, Olympic silver medalist Jagger Eaton and mountain biker Kate Courtney carried the Olympic flag through the streets of Los Angeles. Then Grammy award-winning band Red Hot Chili Peppers got everyone dancing by singing ‘Can’t Stop’ on the beach.

Hollywood superstar Tom Cruise came down hanging on a rope from the highest point of Stade de France. During this, Gabriela Sarmiento Wilson sang a song from Mission Impossible. Gabriela, popularly known as Her, also sang the USA national anthem.
