A 27-year-old software engineer died after falling into a water-filled pit along with his car at a construction site in Sector 150 of Noida. During this time, Raj Kumar Mehta, father of deceased engineer Yuvraj was also talked to.

Yuvraj’s father Noida Many allegations have been made against the administration. He said that a team of about 80 people from 3 departments could not save the son. Fire Department, Noida Police and SDRF teams were present on the spot. But the people of these departments did not enter the water for rescue because they said that the water was very cold and there could be rods in the water.

During this time, my son stood on top of the car and kept pleading for 2 hours to save himself. But he could not be rescued and the car sank. Due to which he died. Local people told that many accidents had happened here before also. Despite this, barricading was not done in the entire area by the Noida Authority. If barricading had been done and the road leading there was closed, the accident would not have happened.

At present, the Noida Authority has fired a junior engineer in the matter and has issued show cause notices to other officials responsible for traffic related work in the area. Besides, a detailed report has been sought from the concerned departments regarding the allotment and construction activities of the site developer Lotus. Apart from this, instructions have also been given to review the security arrangements at the site.

The crater was more than 20 feet

Yuvraj Mehta was a resident of Tata Eureka Park Society, whose car fell into a more than 20 feet deep, water-filled pit dug for the basement of an under-construction building in Sector 150 on Saturday night. Police said that Mehta who worked in a company in Gurugram. Were returning home from work amidst dense fog. Then this accident happened.

Eyewitness also claimed late rescue

An eyewitness, who is a delivery agent. He also claimed that the rescue operation was also delayed. If the rescue had been done quickly, Mehta could have been saved. The police have registered an FIR against two real estate developers on the complaint of the victim’s family, while denying negligence in the rescue operation.
