The government of Pakistan has announced a huge increase in the prices of petrol and diesel, which will be effective for the next 15 days from June 16 (Monday). According to a notification issued by the Finance Ministry, petrol prices have been increased by Rs 4.80 per liter, while the price of high-speed diesel has increased by Rs 7.95 per liter.
After this new growth, the price of high-speed diesel has been increased to Rs 262.59 per liter, while the price of petrol will now be Rs 258.43 per liter. The Finance Ministry has issued official notification related to the revised prices of petroleum products.

The expenses on general public and industries may increase
Earlier on 31 May, the Pakistani Central Government had increased the prices of petrol by Rs 1 per liter. At that time the price of petrol was fixed at Rs 253.63 per liter. Now, new prices will be implemented for further, which can increase the expenses on the general public and industries.

Transportation, agriculture and industrial areas will be affected
These aging of petrol and diesel will directly affect transportation, agriculture and industrial areas, as the cost of fuel can also increase the cost of other goods and services. This step has been taken by the Finance Ministry due to probably economic pressure and increase in international oil prices.
