On 27 June, Kajol is making her comeback on the big screen through the film ‘Maa’. She is going to appear on the screen after a five -year gap. In the meantime, she made her debut on the OTT platform and appeared in many good projects. In an interview to Dainik Bhaskar, Kajol has shared her experience for her comeback, OTT’s growing influence and working with her husband Ajay.

In ‘Satan’, Ajay played the role of a responsible father. You are as ‘mother’ in its sequel. Will both of you appear together in this trilogy’s next film?

Although I do not know, but ghee-shark in your mouth. We will definitely try to fulfill your wish.

How is Ajay Devgan as a producer? Would you like to tell something?

Ajay is a very good and responsible producer. They should be very involved. He is not one of those producers that let’s just signed the paper. Ajay was very much included in the script, the film’s climax, VFX. VFX is a different film, in which you have to imagine everything. Ajay did everything well.

How much do you like horror genre films and are you afraid in real life?

I am very afraid so I do not watch horror movies. If you have worked in a horror film, then it has to be seen now. I am very brave. I have more courage in me. Someone told me that if I go alone a building, garage or somewhere, I go. I don’t mind. If I have not seen much horror movies in life, then such things do not scare me. I have so far kept Horror Zor away from my life but now I have to watch this film.

In the career of so many years, something has ever happened on the set or strange on the set?

There have been many things and many times. For this, an interview will have to be done separately. Like it is said that there are many things in the world, which we do not even know. I will not say that there is no or such things. But there is some, due to which we feel strange or different.

Have you ever got a spiritual learning through your mother?

My mother did the smartest and intelligent thing that she never imposed religion on me. Mother from childhood taught that God is everywhere. You can see God somewhere and God is also seeing you. You can talk to them anytime and their hand will always be on your head. The biggest thing he said was that God is like a mother. He will always protect you. Like you make a mistake in front of your mother and apologize. The same happens with God. He does not punish you for your mistake.

Kajol has a very strong bond with her mother Tanuja. She loves her with love.

You have always worked out of the box. Through this film, you are advancing this thing.

Yes, I think that every actor has to rend himself. We also get tired by doing the same kind of work. The audience also gets tired of seeing us in a role. In such a situation, every actor has to show himself in different forms. I am doing horror zoner and action for the first time. This is a big step for me. We have created an interesting picture.

When you were doing commercially successful films in your career, they also did films like ‘Gupta’, ‘Dushman’. Was this thought to be understood?

Yes, whatever I did, I have done very thoughtfully. I think I am intelligent. I want to respect him when I look at my work. It is very important for me that when I see my work, I can say that I respect my decision. Whatever is good, bad, but that work is mine.

Kajol became a villain in the film ‘Gupta’ and had a Filmfare Award for her role.

There is a lot of difference between the first and now industry. There has been a lot of change after the arrival of OTT. Do you think commercial films are lagging behind?

I do not think the commercial cinema is backward with the arrival of OTT. If you see the collection of today’s hit films, then they are much more than before. Yes, change has definitely come. Different types of films are being made due to OTT. OTT has shown you a different form of cinema and it is quite good. After a long time, my film is coming on screen. I am making a comeback to the screen after a long time, so I would like the audience to give it love.

You may be calling it a comeback, but you were entertaining people in some way.

I think I have the most comeback. I make comeback every two years. I have been working for 34 years and will continue to do further. Even today my film is coming in cinema, I am proud of this.
