All India Cine Workers Association has written a letter to Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis regarding Powai’s RA Studio fake audition incident. In the letter, AICWA has demanded strict action and high level investigation on the incidents of fake auditions and kidnapping of children.

The letter states that AICWA stands firmly for the safety, dignity and future of every artist and child working in the Indian film industry.
Let us tell you that on October 30, 19 people were taken hostage in the name of audition at RA Studio in Powai area of Mumbai. Of these, 17 were children. 50-year-old Rohit Arya, who had taken people hostage, was killed in the encounter.
Even at that time, AICWA President Suresh Shyamlal Gupta had issued a notice to Maharashtra Chief Minister Shri Devendra Fadnavis demanding strict action.
It was written in the X post – ‘A shocking incident has come to light from Powai area of Mumbai, where in the name of Bollywood film industry, R.A. A fake audition was being held in the studio.
Around 20 budding artistes who had come for audition were allegedly kidnapped, who were rescued by the Mumbai Police with prompt and commendable action.
