Major Andre Ray of New York State Police told the media that the driver of the bus lost control, which overturned the bus. The accident took place at around 12:30 pm local time.

Mercy flight and other emergency services brought the injured to hospitals including the Eri County Medical Center in Buffalo through helicopters and ambulances.
At least eight patients were admitted to the hospital till 2:10 pm. O’Kalaghan said, ‘This was a big tourist bus that caused heavy losses.
New York Governor Kathy Hachul said on X that he has been informed about this ‘tragic bus accident’ and his office is working closely with the police and local officials.
Powell Stephens of Madina, an eyewitness, reported that there was broken windows, scattered goods and debris on the road. The road was closed due to the accident and the drivers were advised to escape from the area. Rescue operations are still on.
