A bus going from Haridwar to Nepal overturned in Udham Singh Nagar of Uttarakhand in the early hours of Wednesday, in which 71 people were traveling. According to the information, the Indo-Nepal Friendship Service bus went out of control and overturned on the roadside in Gadarpur. 9 passengers including a one month old baby girl were injured in the accident. The incident happened near Gopal Nagar intersection at around 2 in the morning. At the time of the accident, most of the passengers were in deep sleep, when suddenly as the bus overturned, there were screams and an atmosphere of chaos was created. As soon as the information was received, police, 112 service and 108 ambulance reached the spot. With the help of local people, the passengers trapped in the bus were taken out by breaking the glass. The injured were immediately taken to the hospital, where the condition of some remains critical. Nap in the rain was the reason for the accident. Preliminary investigation has revealed that it was raining in the area at the time of the accident. Meanwhile, the driver dozed off and lost control of the bus. The uncontrolled bus went off the road and overturned directly in the field. The police are now interrogating the driver and a detailed investigation is being conducted into the cause of the accident. A total of 71 passengers, mostly from Nepal, were on board the bus, including three crew members. Most of these passengers are said to be from Dang district of Nepal. After the accident, preparations were made to send the surviving passengers to their destination in another vehicle. The administration has also started collecting the list of passengers. 9 injured including innocent Navya, condition of 2 is critical. A total of nine people including one month old baby Navya have been injured in this accident. According to doctors, the condition of Kathmandu residents Jaya Bhutta (40) and Dhanashree Nepal (36) is critical. Both of them have been referred to the Higher Medical Center of Rudrapur after first aid, while the other injured are being treated in the local hospital. Passengers were evacuated by breaking the glass, the bus will be removed by crane. Many passengers were trapped inside the bus after the accident. Police and local people together broke the glass of the bus and took everyone out safely. Highway personnel also reached the spot and a crane has been called to remove the bus. However, despite the accident, traffic remains normal.
