Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has said that 1 lakh people have left Gaza City. He gave information about this during the meeting held in Jerusalem.
According to the Times of Israel report, Netanyahu said that Hamas is trying to stop people so that they can be used as a human shield. According to Israeli PM, Hamas has also tried to stop women and children.
Earlier, the Israeli Army (IDF) on Saturday dropped the leaflets from the sky and asked people to vacate the city. IDF is preparing for a large military campaign in Gaza City.
The United Nations estimates that there are still about 1 million Palestinians in Gaza City.

IDF declares Gaza City as war zone
IDF has declared Gaza City as Hamas’s stronghold and Combat Zone. The army is now moving towards the inner areas of the city. Due to this, he has instructed people to visit the human camps of Southern Gaza.
Israel has said that temporary hospitals, food-water and tents will be provided in the human sector. IDF claims that people can go to vehicles by safe route.
However, UN and international agencies said that this zone is declared only by Israel, they have no participation in it.
These institutions have warned that the migration of millions of people will further increase the humanitarian crisis.
Last month, possession of Gaza City was approved
Israel approved the plan to capture Gaza City in August last month i.e. in August. Under this, an order was issued to call about 60 thousand reserve soldiers on duty.
According to the plan, a total of 1.30 lakh soldiers will be deployed for the campaign to occupy Gaza City. Soldiers will be given notice at least two weeks before joining duty.
In the first batch, on September 2, the schedule of calling about 40-50 thousand soldiers was fixed. The second batch will be convened in November-December and third February-March 2026.
This campaign has been named Gidon’Se Cheriates-B. Also, the service of thousands of reserve soldiers already doing duty has also been extended for 30-40 days.
The operation will include 5 Army Divisions and 12 Brigade-Level teams, including pedestrians, tanks, artillery, engineering and support units. Apart from this, North and South Brigade of Gaza Division are also participating.
Israel’s control over 75% area of Gaza
The aim of Israel is to enter areas in Gaza City where Hamas is still suspected to be hostage in possession. These are the areas where the Israeli army had not taken mass action till now.
According to the Israeli Army (IDF), it has control over about 75% of the Gaza Strip. Gaza City is in the 25% area that is not in the possession of IDF.
At present, Hamas has 50 hostage in Gaza. It is estimated that these are still 20, while 28 have been killed.
