This discussion intensified when recently Mahi shared an emotional post for Nadeem on his birthday.

Actually, while wishing Nadeem on his birthday, Mahi had called him her best friend. After this post, various things started happening on social media and people started spreading rumors about their relationship. After which Mahi’s close friend and actress Ankita Lokhande got angry.

On Sunday, Ankita wrote on Instagram story,

Today I want to say something, not as a celebrity, but as a friend. I am very upset with the way people are talking about Mahi and Nadeem’s relationship. I know Mahi, I know Nadeem and I also know Jai very well. Therefore, I want to say clearly that Nadeem has always been a father figure to Mahi and Jai and is also like a father to Tara. That’s all, nothing else.

Ankita further wrote,

Some relationships are built on respect, love and years of trust. Outsiders have no right to judge them. As a friend, I can say that Nadeem is a person who has stood by many people including me in difficult times. I have a lot of respect for him. Mahi and Jai, you both are doing a great job as parents. The actress also said,

Actually, on Saturday, Mahi had shared an emotional post saying that Nadeem is her biggest support system and always supports her.

Mahi shared pictures of Nadeem’s birthday celebration on Instagram and wrote,

Divorce announced on January 4

Jai and Mahi announced their divorce on January 4 through official Instagram. In a post he wrote,

Today we are choosing different paths in the journey of life, but we will continue to support each other. Peace, progress, kindness and humanity have always been a part of our thinking. We will remain good parents and good friends to our children Tara, Khushi and Rajveer. Will try his best to do whatever is right for him.

He further wrote,

Now our paths diverge, but there is no villain in this story and no negative emotions associated with this decision. Before jumping to any conclusions, please understand that we have chosen peace and understanding over drama and unrest in every situation. We will continue to respect each other, support each other and remain friends as we always have been. Jai and Mahi were married in the year 2011. Both of them adopted their house help’s children Rajveer and Khushi in 2017. Two years later, in 2019, Mahi gave birth to daughter Tara.
