Diwali was celebrated in countries all over the world. The military band played Om Jai Jagdish at the White House.
The festival of Lights i.e. Diwali was celebrated all over the world including India. During this, prominent leaders of the world celebrated the festival of Diwali and extended best wishes.
British Prime Minister Keir Starmer has shared a picture carrying a puja thali. they wrote-

Earlier, Diwali celebrations were celebrated at the US President’s residence on Wednesday night. During this, the military band played the aarti song ‘Om Jai Jagdish Hare’. This video has been shared by Geeta Gopinath, Deputy Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund.
This was the British PM’s first Diwali celebration at the Prime Minister’s residence.

PM Starmer said in his message to the British Indian community-
The victory of light over darkness is important in today’s world, as we live in a more unstable world than ever before. It seems that there is a lot of darkness around the world and it is very important to celebrate the victory of light over darkness.
The British Prime Minister also thanked former PM Rishi Sunak for his services. Sunak resigned from the post of opposition leader on Thursday on the occasion of Diwali. Sunak said that two years ago he became the leader of the Conservative Party on Diwali and today he is leaving his post on the same day of Diwali.
Maryam Nawaz celebrated Diwali in Pakistan Diwali was celebrated in Pakistan also on Wednesday. Chief Minister of Pakistan’s Punjab province Maryam Nawaz joined the celebrations along with Hindus and Sikhs.
CM Maryam started the program by lighting the lamp. Also did virtual fireworks. Addressing the people, Maryam said that if someone commits atrocities against minorities, she will stand with the victims.
Maryam also interacted with Hindu women during the programme. Besides, checks of Rs 15,000 each were given to 1400 Hindu families.

Sunita Williams also wished people on the occasion of Diwali. Sunita sent a video message from the International Space Station (ISS) on Monday.

This year I have got the unique opportunity to celebrate Diwali 400 km above the Earth on the space station. My father always taught us about Diwali and other Indian festivals and kept us connected to our cultural roots. Diwali is a moment of happiness because goodness prevails in the world.
