A case has been registered against three people for cheating Bollywood actor Deepak Tijori of Rs 2.5 lakh in the name of getting funds for the film. A police officer gave this information to news agency PTI on Thursday. According to the police, Deepak Tijori was arranging money for his new film. During this time, a friend introduced him to a person who claimed to be associated with a music company. After which, in February last year, Tijori was made to meet a woman, who introduced herself as a film producer and promised to get investors for the film. In return he demanded Rs 5 lakh. After this, Tijori gave Rs 2.5 lakh as the first installment. According to the police officer, the accused promised to give a ‘Letter of Interest’ from a big content company within a week and also signed an agreement for it, but later did not give this document and stopped responding to Tijori’s calls and messages. When the actor realized the fraud, he lodged a complaint against the three accused at Mumbai’s Bangur Nagar police station last month. The police officer said that the three accused will be summoned for investigation and the investigation of the case is going on. Tijori has worked in many films. It is noteworthy that Deepak Tijori had worked in many hit films like Aashiqui, Dil Hai Ki Manta Nahi, Sadak, Khiladi and Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar. Apart from acting, he directed many films, which include films like Oops, Fareb, Tom Dick and Harry, Do Lafzon Ki Kahani and Tipsy.
