On November 10, a Hyundai i20 car exploded amid traffic at a signal near the Red Fort in Delhi, killing 15 people.
The white collar terror module, which carried out the suicide car attack on November 10 near the Red Fort in Delhi, had earlier planned attacks with drones and rockets like Hamas. Hamas launched such an attack on Israel for the first time on October 7, 2023.
The National Investigation Agency (NIA) became aware of this major threat after the arrest of Jasir Bilal Wani alias Danish, another associate of suicide bomber Dr Umar un Nabi. Danish is a resident of Qazigund in Anantnag district of Jammu and Kashmir. NIA had detained him from Srinagar 4 days ago. He was arrested on Monday.
NIA said in a statement that Danish has experience in making small drone weapons. He provided technical support to Dr. Omar to carry out terrorist attacks. He was actively involved in the conspiracy of the attack. He was providing technical help for terrorist attacks by modifying drones and was also trying to make rockets.
According to media reports, Danish had tried to make powerful drones equipped with large batteries that could carry heavy bombs along with cameras. The terrorist module had planned to drop a drone bomb in a crowded area to kill as many people as possible.
On the other hand, the main accused in the blast, Aamir Rashid Ali, was sent to NIA custody for 10 days by Delhi’s Patiala House Court on Monday. According to the agency, Aamir, resident of Pampore, is the same person who was last in contact with Dr. Omar.
The car used in the blast was registered in Aamir’s name and he had come to Delhi to buy it. Aamir was arrested from Delhi on Sunday. Till now Jammu and Kashmir Police has arrested 8 people in this case.
