LinkedIn co-founder Reid Hoffman may leave America after Donald Trump is sworn in as president. According to the New York Post report, Hoffman fears that after becoming president, Trump may target his political opponents.

In fact, Hoffman had supported Kamala Harris during the presidential election. He had given help of 10 million dollars (about Rs 85 crore) to Kamala’s Democratic Party for campaigning. Hoffman even said that he wished he would have died when there was an attempt to assassinate Trump.

In 2019, a defamation suit was filed against Trump by New York Magazine writer E. Jean Carroll. In this case also, Hoffman had helped Carroll financially against Trump. Now Hoffman fears that Trump may take revenge on him after becoming President.

Trump was fined Rs 747 crore

A jury found Trump guilty in 1996 in the sexual assault case of E. Jean Carroll. After this, Trump was fined 5 million dollars (about Rs 42 crore today). Trump later claimed that Carroll was lying about the sexual harassment scandal. He was wrongly accused.

Carroll then filed a defamation suit against Trump. In this case, the court ordered Trump to pay 83.3 million dollars (about Rs 705 crore today) to Carroll as compensation.

Fear of being named in Epstein Island case also

According to Wall Street Journal, Stephen visited Epstein Island in 2014. The reason behind this visit was never known. Now Hoffman fears that Trump may release a list of people who were Epstein’s clients. Tesla CEO Elon Musk has also agreed with this by replying to a post on X.

In fact, Donald Trump had promised before the election that if he won the presidential election, he would release Jeffrey Epstein’s documents. Jeffrey Epstein was a financier from New York and Florida who was on trial for sex trafficking.

Jeffrey Epstein committed suicide in his prison cell in 2019. There were also allegations against him of sexual exploitation of minors. Epstein was known for inviting high profile people to his private islands and luxurious homes. The names of many famous people are associated with Epstein.
