Junior doctors are angry with this incident. Doctors also demonstrated in the hospital. Four protesting doctors have been detained in this case. Doctors demand that they be provided security in hospitals, so that they can do duty without fear.

It was said in the Supreme Court – all emergency and essential services continue In the hearing in the Supreme Court on September 30, the Bengal government said that resident doctors are not working in the inpatient department and outpatient department. In response to this, the doctors’ lawyer said that the doctors are working in all emergency and essential services. The next hearing of the case will be on October 14. On this day, Solicitor General Tushar Mehta will have to present the report on the investigation of the National Task Force.

There was a confrontation for 7 days regarding the meeting of Mamta and doctors. There was a conflict for 7 days in Kolkata regarding the meeting of doctors and Mamata. After four attempts failed, a meeting of Mamata and the doctors’ delegation was held at the CM House on 16 September. In this meeting, Mamata had accepted 3 out of 5 demands of the doctors and asked them to return to work.

On the demand of doctors, the Bengal government had removed Kolkata Police Commissioner Vineet Goyal from the post. Manoj Verma took over in his place. Four more officers of the Health Department have also been transferred. Apart from this, the posts of 5 more police officers were also changed.

On September 19, the doctors had decided to end the strike. Junior doctors said that on our demand, Kolkata Police Commissioner, Director of Medical Education and Director of Health Services have been removed. However, this does not mean that the movement is over. Our demand for removal of Health Secretary NS Nigam and ending threat culture in hospitals still continues.
