The Labor Department of the Trump government has accused companies of misusing H-1B visas. The department has released a video regarding this.

It says that companies stole the ‘American Dream’ of American youth by misusing H-1B visas. They unfairly gave jobs to low-paid foreign workers.

The video blames politicians and bureaucrats who allow companies to make this mess. It was told that 72% of H-1B visa holders are Indians, while 12% are Chinese.

In the video, the narrator says that under the leadership of US President and Labor Secretary Lori Chavez-Dermer, we are holding companies responsible for visa misuse. Bringing the American Dream back to the American people.

Project Firewall mentioned in the video

The video features vintage clips of happy families, homes and people from the 1950s. The 51-second video mentioned Project Firewall.

It states that through Project Firewall, we are holding companies responsible for H-1B misuse. Will give priority to Americans in recruitment, so that the American Dream comes back to the American people.

The Labor Department started Project Firewall in September 2025. This is a program to keep strict monitoring on H-1B visas. Its purpose is to protect the rights, wages and job opportunities of American workers.

Companies will have to decide whether to prioritize Americans over foreign workers. Companies will be investigated under the project. If any irregularities are found, the affected workers will have to pay their outstanding salaries. Civil penalties will be imposed and they will be barred from the H-1B program for a period of time.
