According to Microsoft, Iranian hackers targeted Trump’s campaign in the month of June.
Former US President Donald Trump’s campaign (election team) has claimed that his internal conversations, planning information and documents have been hacked. According to the campaign, this hacking incident has been carried out by Iranian hackers.
American news website Politico reported on Saturday that it had been sent private documents related to Trump’s campaign program via email. This also includes information related to the party’s research on Republican Party’s vice presidential candidate Vance.
A spokesperson associated with Trump’s campaign told the news website BBC that these documents have been stolen by America’s enemy country with the aim of interfering in the 2024 presidential election. News website Politico has claimed to verify these documents.
Statement- Conspiracy hatched to stop Trump
Steven Cheung, a spokesperson for Donald Trump’s party, said that Iran wants to stop Trump from becoming president again. According to Steven, if Trump comes back to power, he will stop Iran’s terrorist activities, just like he did in his last term.
Steven said that the timing of the hacking is related to the selection of Republican Party’s vice-presidential candidate JD Vance. News website Politico reported that it had received an email on July 22. In this email, information related to Vance was sent in a 271-page document.

Microsoft said – Iranian hackers targeted it
A day before Trump’s campaign statement, on Friday, software company Microsoft released a report. This report claimed that Trump’s election campaign was targeted by Iranian hackers in the month of June.
According to the report, hackers had targeted a presidential candidate associated with the Republican Party. Microsoft’s Threat Analysis Center said that a phishing email was sent to Trump’s campaign.
According to the centre, there has been an increase in the number of hacking attacks carried out by Iranian hackers in the last few months.
Microsoft had also released a similar report in 2020. It said that a conspiracy was hatched by Iranian hackers to influence Trump’s campaign in the US presidential election.
