The family of Zubeen Garg has filed a complaint against the singer’s manager Siddharth Sharma and the organizer of the North-East India Festival in Singapore, Shyamkanu Mahant.
According to NDTV, the complaint was lodged online in the Assam Criminal Investigation Department (CID) to investigate the situation related to the death of a singer in Singapore on 19 September.
The complaint in the case has been filed by Zubeen’s wife Garima Saikia Garg, Bhabhi Pami Borthhakur and her uncle Manoj Borthakur.
Confirming the move, Zubeen’s uncle and senior journalist Manoj Borathhakur said, “We lodged a complaint in the CID office on behalf of the family. In this complaint, especially Siddharth Sharma and Shyamkanu Mahant were described as accused and requested to investigate with CID.”
Borathhakur said that the family wants the investigation to be well and the entire team comes under the investigation.
He also said, “I cannot tell all things right now, but I can definitely say that we want a fair and transparent investigation.”
The family has requested the officials to submit all the necessary evidence, documents, records, data and mobile phones of Zubeen, so that no aspect of the case is left.
Zubeen’s uncle said, “The truth should be revealed. Whoever is found guilty, should not be spared.
Please tell that Zubeen Garg died on 19 September. Singer went to Singapore for the North East India Festival to be held on 20 September, where he participated in some water adventure activity. It was being claimed that the singer died in an accident during the scuba diving.
However, the singer’s wife later said that the singer died of a tour, not an accident in Scuba diving.
Zubeen Garg’s wife Garima Saikia said in an interview to the Times of India that on September 19, Zubeen had gone to an island from Yacht in Singapore with 7-8 people. During this, drummers Shekhar and Siddharth were also present with him. All the people were wearing a life jacket.
However, when her husband went to swim again, she had a tour.

After the death of Zubeen Garg, a complaint was lodged against all the people and event manager present with him at the time of the incident, including his manager Siddharth Sharma in Assam. After the complaint, on September 20, Singer’s wife Garima released a video crying from the official social media account of Singer and appealed to withdraw the complaint filed against the manager.

Zubeen was born on 18 November 1972 in Tinsukia district of Assam. He was a singer, musician, lyricist, actor and director in Assamese and Hindi film industry. He sang songs in Assamese, Hindi, Bangla and English.

Zubeen was the highest paid singer of Assam.
