A painful news has come out from the Marathi and Hindi entertainment world. 25-year-old Marathi artist Sachin Chandwade, who was seen in Netflix’s popular series ‘Jamtara-Sabka Number Aayega Season 2’, committed suicide. Sachin’s body was found hanging from a fan in his Pune flat on the afternoon of 23 October.
When the family members broke the door, the sight inside was horrifying. They immediately took Sachin down and admitted him to the nearest hospital, but his condition kept worsening. On the advice of doctors, he was shifted to Dhule the same night, but there too he lost the battle of life. On the night of 24 October, Sachin closed his eyes forever.

There is a wave of mourning in the film and TV industry since the incident. Sachin Chandwade had made his mark through Marathi theater and short films. His character in Netflix’s ‘Jamtara 2’ was greatly liked by the audience. He also recently completed shooting for some OTT projects and remained active on social media and shared many motivational posts.
According to the family, Sachin was going through mental stress for the last few months. However, the real reason for suicide is not clear yet. Police have registered the case and started investigation. According to reports, no suicide note has been recovered from his room. The post mortem report is awaited.

Many artists from theater and Marathi film industry have paid tribute on social media. Friends told that Sachin was a very cheerful, hardworking and sensitive person. He was very serious about his dreams, and often said that “One day my name will be mentioned in every street of Marathi cinema.”
Sachin’s sudden departure has dealt a big blow to the industry. The space he has created with his talent at the young age of 25 is an inspiration for upcoming artists. Pune Police is investigating the case and as per preliminary reports it appears to be a case of suicide.
