Justice Nagarathna said- If the constitutional framework gradually weakens, it may lead to a situation of constitutional breakdown, even if the rights formally exist. Justice Nagarathna can become the Chief Justice of the country in September 2027 on the basis of seniority. Justice Nagarathna said – Institutions should investigate each other. Justice BV Nagarathna further said that when institutions stop investigating and monitoring each other, then the real problem begins. Institutions like Election Commission, Comptroller and Auditor General of India (CAG) and Finance Commission play an important role in maintaining a fair system. On the election process, he said that in our democracy, governments change in a timely manner due to timely elections.
