He told that Rekha used to come to Parliament only once in every session and her participation in active politics was limited. He said, “Rekha ji used to come only once in every session. Her tenure ended and her political role also ended.” He also told that Rekha and Sachin Tendulkar did not even take government accommodation after becoming MPs, while Lata Mangeshkar had refused to accept many facilities provided to MPs, which also included MPLADS fund and other facilities. Political journey of Jaya Bachchan and Rekha Jaya Bachchan was first elected Rajya Sabha MP from Samajwadi Party in 2004. After this she was elected several times and has been actively participating in debates in Parliament. At the same time, Rekha took oath as Rajya Sabha MP in 2012, but she was not seen very active in the discussions of the House.
