The weather has changed due to two Western Disturbances active back-to-back in the country. Today there is a possibility of thunderstorm and rain in 20 states including UP-Rajasthan. Hail may fall in 10 states.
Jammu-Srinagar highway closed due to landslide in Ramban, Jammu and Kashmir. In Chamba, Himachal, a bridge under construction broke due to a landslide on Tuesday morning.
A dust storm occurred in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh late Tuesday evening. It rained in more than 10 districts including Mathura and Ghaziabad, while trees and electric poles fell at many places. In Udaipur, Rajasthan, the wall of a house collapsed due to the storm, while in the desert districts Jaisalmer and Nagaur, hail fell along with rain.
Here, it also rained in Shivpuri, Datia, Dhar, Pithampur and Jhabua of Madhya Pradesh. There is a possibility of thunder and lightning in 13 districts including Gwalior-Morena on Wednesday.
In Punjab, 1.25 lakh acres of crops have been damaged due to rain and hail. The temperature has dropped due to rain in Delhi. Tuesday was the coldest day of April recorded in three years.

8 April: There is a possibility of heavy rain with thunder and lightning in Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, UP. Wind can blow at a speed of 40 to 60 km/hour. There is a possibility of hailstorm along with rain in Bihar, Jharkhand, Bengal, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh.
9 April: Light to moderate rain and snowfall may occur in Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal and Uttarakhand. Wind can blow at a speed of 30 to 50 km/hour. There is an alert of heavy rain in Assam-Meghalaya, while there is a possibility of light rain with thunder and lightning in parts of Central and East India.
