Shilpa said, ‘I got the job because people saw my hard work. I always completed my work and reached the set at any cost. I once got burned by an HMI light on my back while shooting. I had to step out of the frame and there was a baby light behind. My back touched him.
‘When there is a burning sensation, it is not immediately noticeable. That feeling becomes understandable after some time. Still, I went to work again the next day. The next day I had to wear a special costume, but due to burns I was not able to wear it properly. So I wore it only from the front and got it stitched from the back with needle and thread, so that there was no need to add a zip. I have worked so hard in my life so that no one else gets harmed because of me.
