Many stalwarts of the industry were seen on one stage at the closing ceremony of Celebrate Cinema 2025 held on Friday at Whistling Woods International, Mumbai. On this occasion, Adani Group Chairman Gautam Adani honored actor Kartik Aryan for the film Chandu Champion. Dr. Preeti Adani, Subhash Ghai, Rajkumar Hirani, Jackie Shroff and Mahavir Jain were also present on the stage. On this occasion, Subhash Ghai said that Karthik’s film Chandu Champion is his best work till date.

Speaking on the “Soft Power of Cinema” during the closing ceremony of Celebrate Cinema 2025, Adani said that cinema is not just entertainment but is a symbol of the country’s identity and spirit. He said – Now is the time that India’s story should reach the world from the Indian perspective. Talking about AI technology, Adani said that instead of being afraid of AI, it should be adopted because this is the future of filmmaking.

After being honored with Gautam Adani, Kartik Aryan said, “Sir, your speech was one of the most inspiring speeches of my life. I was afraid of AI, but you changed my thinking.” He described Whistling Woods as the best film school in the country and called Subhash Ghai an important guide in his career.

Subhash Ghai said emotionally – Very few people know that Karthik was the hero of my film Kanchi and was also my assistant director for six months. Chandu Champion is his best work till date.

Rajkumar Hirani described Adani’s speech as historic as the “Sholay speech” and said that the soft power of cinema lies in its truth.
