There is an uproar in Tharad tehsil of Gujarat regarding an inter-caste marriage that took place about 2 years ago. Chaudhary and people of Rabari community are face to face in this matter. A grand conference of Chaudhary community was held in Tharad on Wednesday regarding this matter. A large number of people had gathered in it, including leaders of the Anjana Choudhary community from North Gujarat and Rajasthan.
After the conference, a crowd of thousands of people from the Chaudhary community reached Un village of Ogad demanding the return of their community’s daughter home. The mob surrounded the village and vandalized the vehicles.
As soon as the information was received, a large number of policemen including DSP reached the spot and resorted to lathicharge to disperse the crowd. During this time the National Highway also got jammed for some time. However, now the situation is under control.

First understand how the issue of a marriage that happened 2 years ago came up now… Actually, recently, famous Gujarati singer Kinjal Rabari, resident of Patan, had shared a video on social media and informed about her love-marriage. It was told in the post that she had a love marriage with Ashok Chaudhary, a boy from the Chaudhary community. As soon as his inter-caste marriage was discussed, there was an uproar.
The leaders of both the communities came face to face. After this Kinjal deleted that post. After about five days, Kinjal made another post saying that she has canceled her marriage. They have returned home and will now get married in their own community. Just after this case, this year-old issue between both the communities has arisen.
There was a jam on the village road on the National Highway.
Now know, the case of love-marriage that happened one and a half year ago Kanku Choudhary of Runi village of Tharad tehsil had a love marriage with Mahadev Rabari of Oon village about two years ago. Both of them are living happily and they also have a son. However, now the Chaudhary community is adamant on Kanku Chaudhary returning home. A grand conference of Chaudhary community was held regarding this.
Chaudhary Samaj President Rajnesh Chaudhary said that this matter is related to the reputation of the society. He has taken the responsibility of bringing back the daughter after talking to the leaders of Rabari community in the next five days. If the daughter does not return within five days, the further strategy will be decided later. At present there is anger among the youth, the leaders of the society are trying to pacify them.
Due to the uproar, there was a three km long jam on the National Highway.
Kanku said- He is my son, don’t separate him from the family… Meanwhile, in a video that went viral on social media on Tuesday, Kanku Choudhary had appealed not to have any kind of estrangement with his family. Kanku Chaudhary, joining hands with the leaders of Rabari and Chaudhary communities, has said that she left home on March 31, 2024 of her own free will and married Mahadev Rabari as per Hindu customs.
Now he also has a one year old son. Therefore, do not separate them from their husband and innocent son. Whatever decision the leaders should take, it should be taken in such a way that their family is not broken.
