A video from Bharuch in Gujarat is going viral on social media. It shows hundreds of people gathered in a small space and jostling to get ahead of each other. The crowd is so huge that the steel railing first bends and then breaks due to the weight of the people. Many people fall down along with it.
This crowd was of those youngsters who had come to give a job interview in a hotel. This interview was organized by Thermax Company in Lords Plaza Hotel of Ankleshwar. According to the officials, 10 job openings were there in the company for which 1800 people came for the interview. Apart from the crowd near the railing of the hotel, a large number of people were standing outside as well.
The Congress has termed the incident as evidence of rising unemployment and the failure of the BJP’s Gujarat model. In a post on X, the Congress said that the video has exposed the party’s propagated Gujarat model. The Congress said that the BJP is imposing this unemployment model on the entire country.

BJP MP said- the incident happened due to the company’s mistake
Bharuch BJP MP Mansukh Vasava has blamed the company for the incident. Vasava said that this district is a mini India and people from all over the country come there to live and work. Accusing the company of negligence, he said that the company was filling only 10 posts. In such a situation, instead of conducting open interviews, they should have clearly stated the job standards. At some level, this incident happened because of the company. We are concerned about this accident and are taking steps to ensure that such incidents do not happen again.
Rahul said- The disease of unemployment has become an epidemic in the country. Congress MP Rahul Gandhi said in a social media post that the disease of unemployment has taken the form of an epidemic in India and BJP-ruled states have become the ‘epicentre’ of this disease. The ‘future of India’ jostling in queues for a common job is the reality of Narendra Modi’s ‘Amritkal’.
