This film was directed by Zoya Akhtar. It is said that their friendship deepened on the sets of the film itself and this friendship gradually turned into a relationship.

Khushi Kapoor played the role of Vedang Reggie Mantle and Betty Cooper in the film The Archies.

Although both of them never accepted their relationship publicly, in April 2025, Khushi wore a special neckpiece, which had a heart made with V and K. There were speculations on social media that Khushi had made her relationship public through gestures.
