Can the recognition of Arvind Kejriwal’s Aam Aadmi Party end due to the liquor scam? Even in October 2022, during the hearing on the Delhi liquor policy, the Supreme Court had asked the government lawyer whether the entire Aam Aadmi Party is guilty in this case. If so, then why have you not made AAP an accused till now. On this, the ED said that soon we are thinking of making AAP an accused.
Can AAP’s recognition be cancelled?
Has the toughest time come for Arvind Kejriwal and his Aam Aadmi Party? Those who have been asking in the liquor scam till now that where is the money if there was a scam? Where did the money go if there was a scam? They may now get a shock from the next charge sheet filed by ED. Because now the question is whether the recognition of Aam Aadmi Party can be cancelled? The reason for the question is that if Arvind Kejriwal’s name is mentioned as accused number 37 in ED’s supplementary charge sheet, then for the first time the name of a party has been mentioned as accused number 38 in the charge sheet. This party is Arvind Kejriwal’s Aam Aadmi Party.
What did ED say while making AAP an accused?
Arvind Kejriwal’s Aam Aadmi Party, born out of a movement against corruption 12 years ago, has now become the first party in the country whose name is in the chargesheet. Which has been made an accused. That means if Arvind Kejriwal is proven guilty in the liquor scam, then his party will also be punished. What will happen if this happens? Before this, it is important to know why the ED has made the Aam Aadmi Party an accused in the chargesheet and what has been said while making Kejriwal’s party an accused in the chargesheet.
According to ED, a profit of 100 crores was made from the liquor scam. According to ED, 45 crores of that was used for Aam Aadmi Party in the Goa assembly elections. That is, the profit was made from the money earned through crime. ED’s chargesheet says that the party took the benefit and convenor Arvind Kejriwal is responsible for every decision of the party. Therefore, in ED’s chargesheet, both Aam Aadmi Party and Kejriwal are accused.
What evidence does ED have?
Aam Aadmi Party always asks what is the trail of money. This time ED has also told this in the charge sheet. In its charge sheet, ED has accused Aam Aadmi Party and has shown those pictures of one rupee and hundred rupee notes, in which it was claimed that 45 crore rupees were sent to Goa through hawala. ED claims that many screenshots of hawala note numbers have been recovered from the mobile of accused Vinod Chauhan.
ED also has WhatsApp chats between Vinod Chauhan and Abhishek Pillai related to hawala money transfer. ED also says that it also has chats of direct connection between accused Vinod Chauhan and Arvind Kejriwal. On the basis of all this, now along with Arvind Kejriwal, his party has also become an accused. It has been asked to appear on July 12.
On the basis of this charge sheet of ED, further hearing is to be held in the liquor scam by making Aam Aadmi Party the accused. Where for the first time ED has reached with the entire money trail, about which Kejriwal and the entire party have been raising questions. But will ED be able to prove these evidences?
What does the ED chargesheet say?
In the charge sheet, ED has claimed that accused number 37, i.e. Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, kept either avoiding answers or giving false arguments. When ED asked Arvind Kejriwal whether accused Vijay Nair used to report to him, Kejriwal said no, he used to report to Atishi and Saurabh Bhardwaj. Kejriwal even said that he had limited relationship with Vijay Nair.
ED’s chargesheet says that when asked how Vijay Nair used to work from CM Camp Office, Kejriwal denied it and said – I don’t know. According to ED, when ED officials told Kejriwal that Vijay Nair was not a small worker, but he was the head of AAP’s media cell. When ED officials showed digital evidence of conversation between Kejriwal and Vijay Nair, it is claimed that Kejriwal did not answer.
Kejriwal did not give the mobile password
According to ED, Arvind Kejriwal did not even share the password of his mobile. ED’s chargesheet says that when Arvind Kejriwal was shown digital proof of Rs 45 crore sent to Goa through hawala and when he was questioned about the Rs 45 crore received by Chanpreet Singh who was working with the campaign team there, Arvind Kejriwal flatly refused to give any information. According to the chargesheet, when ED asked Arvind Kejriwal that Aam Aadmi Party’s national treasurer Narayan Das Gupta has said that he himself had chosen Durgesh Pathak as the party’s in-charge for Goa elections, then according to ED, Kejriwal said that Narayan Das Gupta is confused and is speaking wrong.
AAP blamed the ED
The ED chargesheet says that when Arvind Kejriwal was asked whether Vijay Nair used to give instructions to Chariot Productions Media Private Limited for Goa election campaign, Kejriwal replied that this was the work of Durgesh Pathak who was in-charge of the state. On the basis of these statements in the ED chargesheet, the question arose whether Arvind Kejriwal is protecting himself and questioning other leaders or close ones of his party or putting them in the dock. Then the Aam Aadmi Party claims that this is a conspiracy of the investigating agency. The Aam Aadmi Party says that the ED is only spreading false statements by becoming a political tool of the BJP.
