The Government of India once again held a press conference on Friday regarding the shortage of LPG and oil across the country. The government said that due to the war in Iran, the number of gas bookings in the country has increased by about 20 lakh. Center said- Amidst the war environment, a sudden increase in booking of LPG cylinders has been seen. This is happening due to panic among the people. Currently around 75.7 lakh gas bookings are being done in a day whereas before the war it was on an average 55.7 lakhs. Sujata Sharma, Joint Secretary (Marketing and Oil Refinery) of the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas said that there is no shortage of petrol and diesel in the country.
