Congress has accused Rinki Bhuyan Sarma, wife of Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, of dual citizenship. Congress leader Pawan Kheda said in a press conference in Delhi on Sunday that the Assam CM’s wife has passports of three countries: Egypt, Antigua-Barbuda and UAE.
Pawan Kheda also showed three passports in the conference. He said Sarma’s politics were based on hatred against Muslims, while his wife held passports from two Muslim countries. He further said that Himanta’s wife is also the owner of an American company worth Rs 52 thousand crores.
CM Himanta responded to Congress’s allegations on social media platform X. He wrote that the press conference shows the frustration and nervousness of the Congress. They are making baseless attacks. I reject every one of his allegations. We will file a defamation case against Pawan Kheda in 48 hours.

Pawan Kheda claimed that Himanta’s wife Rinki Bhuinya Sarma has a company in America. The names of Rinki Bhuinya Sarma, Himanta Biswa Sarma and his son are in the member list of this company. The budget of this company is Rs 52,000 crore. He claimed that Rinki Sarma has 2 properties in Dubai, complete information of which is available.

On February 2, Sarma had said that Gaurav Gogoi’s wife was close to a Pakistani agent.
Assam CM had said on February 2 that Congress MP Gaurav and his wife Elizabeth are very close to Pakistani agent Ali Tauqeer Sheikh. A Pakistani firm gave a job to Gaurav’s wife, then transferred her to India.
Elizabeth used to collect many information related to India and gave reports to Pakistani citizen Ali Sheikh. Ali Tauqeer Sheikh used to pay salary to Elizabeth for this work. Himanta had also claimed that Ali Tauqeer had visited India 13 times between 2010 and 2013. Its objective was to create an anti-India narrative in the world.
BJP said- Congress created fake company in 36 hours
BJP leader and Rajya Sabha MP Sudhanshu Trivedi said in a press conference that the company named Wyoming mentioned by Congress was registered on April 3. That means they created a company 36 hours in advance to show that some business was going on.
He further said that Sonia Gandhi did not have an Indian passport for 16 years but was a voter. Congress is empty on land as well as in mind.
