Colonel Sophia Qureshi, who was involved in Operation Sindoor, said on Friday that Operation Sindoor showed a new strategy of war. He said that Operation Sindoor has proved India’s multi-domain precision warfare capability.

In the Chanakya Defense Dialogue: Young Leaders Forum organized at Manekshaw Centre, Colonel Qureshi said that during Operation Sindoor, information warfare also took place from Pakistan’s side. He appealed to the youth to be alert against misinformation and increase digital literacy.

Colonel Qureshi said- Operation Sindoor brought a big change in the methods of war. It showed that youth and citizen participation is essential for peace and security. This proves the fifth generation i.e. multi-domain warfare capability.

Operation Sindoor was launched on 7 May 2025 in response to the Pahalgam attack. During this period, India destroyed 9 terrorist hideouts in Pakistan and Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (PoK). The conflict between the two countries ended on 10 May.

Sophia’s mantra to the youth- ABC of KIDS

The Colonel gave the mantra of ABC of KIDS to the youth. – Agile & Alert, Bold & Brave, Competent & Character, Knowledge & Innovation, Disciplined & Dynamic, Sincere & Contributor.

He also cited the coordination, self-reliance and innovation of the three armies as the reason for the success of this operation. He said- Army, in collaboration with IIT and DRDO, is training young officers in AI, cyber and other technical areas.

He said that 65 percent of India’s population is below 35 years of age and it is a strategic reserve. The energy, innovation and responsibility of the youth is playing an important role in the security and development of the country. He said that the future of India is in your hands. Whether you are a soldier, teacher, coder or designer, success takes effort.

9 terrorist hideouts destroyed in 24 minutes

India’s intelligence agency RAW and National Technical Research Organization gave inputs about 21 terrorist targets for the attack. Out of these, 9 most important targets were selected. NSA Ajit Doval formed a team of selected officers from the three armies.

He was briefed that the objective of the operation is to target the top leadership of terrorist organizations Jaish-e-Mohammed and Lashkar-e-Taiba. Of the 9 terrorist hideouts targeted by the Air Force, 4 were in Pakistan and 5 were in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir.

These include Jaish-e-Mohammed headquarters in Bahawalpur, terrorist training camp in Kotli, Lashkar-e-Taiba hideout in Muzaffarabad, Lashkar headquarters in Muridke and Hizbul Mujahideen base in Bagh. Read the full news…
