A case has been registered against Bhavish Aggarwal, founder and CEO of Ola Electric, for inciting an employee to commit suicide. Bengaluru Police also included the name of the company’s senior executive Subrata Kumar Das in the FIR.
Bhavish’s name was not in the FIR registered on October 6, but at the behest of the deceased’s brother, a case has been registered against Bhavish under section 108 of BNS. Till now no statement has come from Bhavish Aggarwal and the company.
38 year old K. working in the company. Arvind committed suicide on 28 September. He was working as an engineer in Ola Electric since 2022. Arvind’s brother claimed that his brother had written a 28-page note before suicide, in which he accused Bhavish and other officials of mental harassment and not giving salary incentives.
Arvind’s brother said-

On September 30, two days after my brother’s death, Rs 17,46,313 was transferred to his bank account through NEFT. When I asked company officials, they asked me to contact HR. Later, company representatives Kritish Desai and Roshan reached home and did not give any clear information regarding the money.


First case of unnatural death registered
DCP Anita B from the police side. Haddananavar said that initially the case was registered as unnatural death, but after the suicide note came to light, the case was re-registered on the complaint of Arvind’s brother.
According to the FIR, Arvind wrote in the suicide note – I want the police to punish Bhavish Aggarwal and I want justice.
Earlier SEBI had ordered investigation against Ola.
SEBI had started investigation into allegations of insider trading against Ola Electric. According to the NDTV report, Ola Electric has violated rules in insider trading and related party deals between October-December 2024.
Ola has termed these allegations as false and baseless. This matter came to light when Ola had already been accused of irregularities in the sales report of February 2025.
