Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath launched a scathing attack on the opposition in Ayodhya. He said that Samajwadi Party kept Ayodhya in darkness for years, whereas now the light of Ramrajya has spread in the state. Yogi Adityanath, targeting the Samajwadi Party and the INDIA block, said that those who opened fire on the kar sevaks during the Ram Mandir movement, did not even come to attend the inauguration of the grand Ram temple to be built in 2024.

According to news agency PTI, on the occasion of Deepotsav, every street, temple and ghat of Ayodhya was illuminated with the light of 26 lakh 17 thousand 215 lamps. The whole city echoed with the chants of Shri Ram, Jai Ram, Jai Jai Ram. Devotees lit lamps on the banks of river Saryu and worshiped Goddess Saryu. Under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Uttar Pradesh made two Guinness World Records this year. First of lighting 26,17,215 lamps in the entire city, and second of performing Maa Saryu Aarti by 2128 Vaidyacharyas and priests simultaneously. Both records were verified by counting with drones.
More than 32,000 volunteers participated in this event, including members of Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Avadh University and local organizations. On the call of the Chief Minister Ayodhya Lamps were lit at every house, temple, ashram and public place.
The main attraction of Sunday evening took place at Ramkatha Park, where Yogi Adityanath, his cabinet colleagues and saints worshiped Lord Ram, Mother Sita, Lakshman, Bharat, Shatrughan and Hanuman ji. During this, flowers rained from the sky amidst the song “Ram Aaye Avadh Ki Ore Sajni”.
