As part of the ongoing action against terrorism in the country, Special Cell of Delhi Police and UP ATS have achieved great success in the joint operation. The team has arrested a suspected terrorist associated with ISIS from Kushinagar, Uttar Pradesh. The arrested accused has been identified as Rizwan Ahmed. Initial investigation has revealed that he was associated with ISIS since 2015 and was recruiting people for this organization in India.
According to the investigating agencies, bomb making materials, many objectionable documents and a large quantity of Jihadi literature have been recovered from Rizwan Ahmed. It is being told that he used to brainwash people and inspire them for terrorist activities through social media and other mediums.
According to sources, Rizwan Ahmed has been involved in terrorist activities before and was lodged in Arthur Road Jail in the year 2015. At present, Delhi Police Special Cell is bringing him to Delhi on transit remand, where he will be thoroughly interrogated. Investigating agencies believe that his interrogation can lead to many more big revelations and arrest of other suspects in this case is also possible.
Security agencies have now started investigating its network, contacts and possible modules spread across the country, so that any major conspiracy can be foiled in time.
ISI terrorist arrested from Lucknow
There, Uttar Pradesh Taking major action, security agencies in the capital Lucknow have arrested four suspects linked to ISI. All the accused have been sent to police custody for five days and their intensive interrogation is going on. In the preliminary investigation, UP ATS has got many important information.
During investigation, it has come to light that the accused were conspiring to damage the signal system located around Lucknow Railway Station, so that rail traffic could be disrupted and a major accident could be caused. Among the arrested people, Meerut resident Saqib alias Devil is said to be playing the main role, who was in direct contact with the ISI handler sitting in Pakistan and was also getting financial help from there. This person also used to deliver funds to other associates.
According to ATS, the accused had collected photographs and videos of many important places, establishments and vehicle showrooms in Lucknow, Ghaziabad and Meerut and sent them to their handlers. Their targets were also trucks filled with gas cylinders and vehicle showrooms, where arson was planned.
