Iran’s supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei was killed in an Israeli airstrike on Saturday. The attack took place at his office near Tehran’s Pasteur Street, where he was meeting with several senior Iranian leaders. In this attack, Israel had dropped 30 missiles on the office, in which 40 officers along with Khamenei were killed.
Israel had prepared for this attack for many years. His intelligence agency Mossad and Unit 8200 had hacked almost all the traffic cameras in Tehran. Images from these cameras were encrypted and sent to servers in Tel Aviv and South Israel.
America’s intelligence agency CIA also helped in this operation. It had a special camera because it showed where the bodyguards and drivers of senior officials park their personal vehicles.

Through these cameras, Israel got a lot of information about the officers, like where their homes are, when they come for duty, what route they take, and most importantly, which leaders they protect or whom they escort. This is called ‘Pattern of Life’ in intelligence. This information was very useful to Israel for assassinating Khamenei. This was not the only way. Israel and CIA had collected many types of intelligence information. Israel also hacked mobile phone towers around Pasteur Street, so that the phones would appear busy at the time of the attack and the security team would receive no warning.

Israeli officials are aware of every nook and corner of Iran
An Israeli intelligence official said that they know Tehran as well as they know Jerusalem. When you know a place so well, even the smallest irregularities are visible.
All this happened with the data of Israel’s Unit 8200 (Signal Intelligence), Mossad’s human source and military intelligence. They sorted through billions of data points using a mathematical method called social network analysis and found new targets.

Khamenei had said – My death does not matter
Khamenei’s assassination was a political decision, not just a feat of technology. Khamenei did not live in hiding like Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah. Nasrallah lived in a bunker for years, but Khamenei sometimes said publicly that his death did not matter.

Two days after the death of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, his wife Mansoureh Khojasteh Bagherzadeh has also passed away.
Mansoureh was injured in the attack by America and Israel two days ago. Khamenei was killed in this attack. Iranian state media confirmed that Mansoureh died during treatment on Monday.
Mansoureh married Ayatollah Ali Khamenei in 1964. At that time Khamenei was active as a young religious leader. Born in Mashhad in 1947, Mansoureh comes from a religious family. His father Ayatollah Mohammad Bagher Khojsteh was a renowned religious leader of Mashhad.
