On June 17, Captain Sumit Sabharwal’s father Pushkarraj Sabharwal started crying at a residence in Powai, Mumbai, paying tribute to his son.
Pushkarraj Sabharwal, 91 -year -old father of Captain Sumit Sabharwal, who was killed in Ahmedabad plane crash on June 12 this year, has demanded a formal inquiry from the central government from the central government. He also questioned the primary investigation report of the Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau (AAIB).
Pushkarraj wrote a letter to the Ministry of Civil Aviation and said- In the primary report, only the mistakes of the pilots have been told. The image is being created by leaking a few selected things in the media that Captain Sabharwal was in a lot of depression and was thinking about suicide.
He further wrote- These things have had a very profound impact on my health and mental state. Also, the reputation of Captain Sumit Sabharwal has also been tarnished. It seems that Aaib’s report was prepared under the pressure of the aircraft making company and blamed the pilots.

Father said- Son was an experienced pilot
Pushraj Sabharwal said that his son did not have a single accident in a 25 -year career and had a flying experience of 15,638 hours. He was also a instructor pilot. He said that the incidents of personal life of the son are being distorted by distorting, while even after the mother’s death, he operated more than 100 flights without any problem.
Father said- Boeing hid software changes
Pushraj Sabharwal also questioned Boeing and said that after the recent Ethiopian Airlines accident, the US investigation found that the company had hidden software changes. This is why accidents occurred. He demanded that the accident should be investigated freely and fair and reports should not be leaked in the media in such a way that the suspicion on the pilot should be deepened.

Claim in AAIB report- accident due to fuel switch shutdown
The Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau (AAIB) released its initial investigation report on the plane crash on 12 July. It said that the fuel switch suddenly moved from ‘Run’ to ‘Cutoff’ position, which stopped both engines.
However, the report did not explain how the fuel switches were closed. The Aaib report stated that a pilot was heard on the cockpit voice recorder asking the other why he stopped the fuel. The second pilot replied that he did not do so.

Pilot organization had said- trying to tarnish the image of pilots
The Federation of Indian Pilots (FIP), the organization of the pilots, objected to the initial investigation report of the Air India aircraft accident. The organization had said that it is hurry and irresponsible to blame the pilots without complete and transparent investigation.
FIP President CS Randhawa had said that pilot organizations were not included in the investigation and the way the report has been introduced is unilateral and incomplete. He said that in the report, only parts of the conversation of the cockpit have been introduced by selecting and efforts are being made to tarnish the image of the pilots.

Former Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani also died in the plane crash
On June 12, Air India flight number AI 171 was going from Ahmedabad to London. It had a total of 230 passengers, including 169 Indians, 53 British, 7 Portuguese and one Canadian citizen. These include 103 men, 114 females, 11 children and 2 newborns. The remaining 12 were crew members. Former Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani also passed away in the accident.
